The schoolhouse list had children in one column and a teacher in another, but the map around it was missing.

So the class rebuilt the neighborhood from clues: a church notice, a road name, a cemetery, a newspaper line, and two families who appeared together in another source.

By the end, the school was not only a building. It was a question about who gathered, who taught, who paid, who protected, and which records survived.
